Back to School for Housing Targets

September 7, 2011

NLP led a workshop at the Planning Summer School in Swansea on Monday 5th September on the topical subject of setting local housing targets.

Matthew Spry and Simon Coop of NLP each gave papers on some of the practical and policy challenges associated with evidencing and shaping the scale of new housing provision in Core Strategies/Local Plans following the forthcoming abolition of Regional Strategies. This was followed by a workshop discussion.

We are delighted to support the Planning Summer School this year and to have had the opportunity to share our experience of work on local housing targets and to discuss this interesting and evolving area of planning practice with colleagues.
