Northumberland County Council has resolved to approve proposals for a new £75million Specialist Emergency Care Hospital at Cramlington
The hospital proposed by Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is set to be the first of its kind in the country and will have emergency care consultants on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
NLP carried-out the site selection process using a GIS model running nearly 20,000 calculations. This crucial work informed the selection of the most appropriate and equitably located site to serve the Trust’s population.
Additionally, NLP led a consultant team preparing and negotiating the application and dealt with preparation of the Environmental Impact Assessment and public consultation.
We are delighted the councillors have supported the hospital and recognise that it will save lives and dramatically improve care for patients in Northumberland and North Tyneside
NLP has led the process from the outset and the Trust has been impressed by their professional approach
