Lambeth College Passes with Distinction

September 12, 2011

On 6 September 2011, following over two years of work and negotiations, Lambeth Council unanimously resolved to approve the redevelopment of Lambeth College's Brixton Centre.  The scheme will deliver new educational buildings and a showcase technology suite for the teaching of construction, engineering and multi-media courses.  It will also significantly improve facilities and teaching spaces for the Borough’s young people and adults.

Our proposals for the Brixton Centre will bring Brixton’s education facilities into the 21st Century.  We have spent the last year working particularly closely with local residents and the plans approved were significantly altered from those originally presented to the Council.  It was gratifying to have praise from local residents about our consultation which resulted in their positive support for the development. We are now working on securing the funding to ensure this development goes ahead
