A prominent vacant site next to Metrocentre in Gateshead is set to become a new eating and drinking destination. NLP has secured planning permission for the metroOasis scheme on behalf of Capital Shopping Centres. It will provide accommodation for retail and restaurant operators as well as a drive-thru coffee outlet.
“Working closely with Gateshead Council, the project team developed a scheme which will act as a stepping stone between the various attractions in the Metrocentre area. The development will complement existing facilities and our web-based consultation exercise generated overwhelming support from the local community.”
