NLP’s Young Planner of the Year

December 2, 2011

NLP Associate Director, Simon Coop, has been shortlisted for the RTPI Young Planner of the Year award.

This award is intended to seek out and acclaim the brightest young planners involved in the profession. Members of the RTPI will vote on the shortlist of 6 candidates during December 2011 and finalists will then give a presentation to a panel of judges in early January. The winner will be announced at the annual RTPI award ceremony which is to take place on 23 February, 2012.

I believe that town planning is key in restoring and reshaping the British economy and in meeting environmental, social and economic challenges ahead. Throughout my career to date, I have consistently sought to shape the professional agenda by identifying and developing practical and deliverable solutions to current and emerging issues. I am honoured that these efforts have been reflected in my being shortlisted for this prestigious award.
