NLP has been appointed by the Vale of Glamorgan Council to prepare a regeneration framework to guide the future of Barry, Penarth, Cowbridge and Llantwit Major. The study will build upon an appreciation of the current character, role and status of each centre and will draw upon the views of a wide range of key stakeholders. It will identify short, medium and long term objectives that are appropriate to each centre, deliverable in the current economic climate, and capable of contributing towards the Council’s aspirations for economic and social well-being and environmental enhancement.
At a time of economic uncertainty, it is easy to focus on the now rather than on the future. But taking the opportunity now to identify a vision for future change, and to prepare an action plan for its delivery will mean that we our settlements might maximise the full benefits of the upturn from day one.
