Alnwick District Council asked NLP to assist in the preparation of a Conservation Area Action Plan for the Alnwick Conservation Area, one of only 50 in England to be rated as “outstanding” by the Department of the Environment.
The study involved a detailed assessment and design appraisal of the character and fabric of the town’s conservation area and strategies for the improvement of the public realm.
Subsequent to completing the study, NLP were appointed by the Council to prepare a detailed scheme of enhancement for the historic Market Place in the town centre.
