NLP secured reserved matters consent on behalf of Highbridge plc and Ericsson for Ericsson's new headquarters at Ansty near Coventry in September 2007. The two buildings, now complete (14,778sqm) comprise research and development offices and an engineering centre, forming the first phase to be developed on 4.54 hectares of the site, designed as the West Midland's only Major Investment Site. The proposals also included an energy centre with a green roof and biomass boiler.
The new company facilities were also used as a new base in Coventry relocating staff from Coventry, Beeston and Solihill to the new site in 2009.
The Ansty site has been allocated in successive Regional, Structure and Local Plans for major inward-investing employment development and had a longstanding outline planning permission dating back to 1992 which has been periodically extended.
