From initial strategy advice to Section 106 negotiations, NLP has provided a comprehensive range of planning consultancy services to assist in the redevelopment of Barry Waterfront, a 43 ha site between Barry Island and Barry Town Centre.
In 2009 a planning application for a 2,000 dwelling residential-led mixed use scheme was submitted to the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
NLP’s role included the preparation and submission of the planning application, a Design and Access Statement, Retail Impact Assessment, the co-ordination of an Environmental Statement and advice to the Consortium in relation to the proposed Section 106 package.
