Daylight and sunlight analyses were undertaken to support the redevelopment of Theis and Khan Architects’ office to provide replacement commercial floorspace and new residential accommodation.
This City Fringe site is extremely constrained in terms of residential amenity and NLP’s daylight and sunlight team undertook preliminary modelling and calculations to inform the scheme’s design development.
A full daylight and sunlight assessment was subsequently prepared to support the planning application for the site’s redevelopment. The development was completed in 2010. It was awarded the RIBA London Building of the Year award for 2010 and was shortlisted for the RIBA Stirling Prize.
