BBC Media Village, White City, London

NLP advised the BBC and co-ordinated the preparation and submission of a planning application for a major new broadcast facility for the BBC in West London, incorporating an additional 130,000m2 of floorspace including accommodation for broadcasting, production and playout facilities, office space, a new music centre for BBC Orchestras and ancillary leisure and retail. The application included an Environmental Statement, incorporating an assessment of the impacts of the development on a number of environmental aspects such as visual, transport and archaeological impacts, as well as the likely spin off benefits of the scheme on the local economy and towards community regeneration.

NLP assisted in the preparation of the Section 106 Agreement, including negotiations with the local planning authority to provide for improvements to the local environment and opportunities for the local community to gain access to training and employment.
