NLP prepared a comprehensive audit of the daylight and sunlight assessment submitted in support of this landmark 63 storey development in Canary Wharf. The independent review was undertaken on behalf of the Mayor of London following his recovery of the application’s determination.

NLP’s analysis included a review of the assessment, the methodology deployed and the applicant’s interpretation of the BRE guidance. We also provided an evaluation of the results and conclusions in the context of the BRE guidance, policy and site context, as well as a comparative quantitative analysis of the calculations undertaken.

The Mayor’s decision to grant planning permission was informed by NLP’s audit of the submitted Daylight and Sunlight Assessment.
