NLP has obtained planning permissions on behalf of Capital Shopping Centres for major retail and leisure developments in the North East.
Eldon Square
Also for Capital Shopping Centres, NLP obtained a number of planning permissions, compulsory purchase and highway stopping up orders to deliver a £170m redevelopment of Eldon Square shopping centre, in the heart of Newcastle City Centre. The scheme included restaurants and cafés fronting onto the historic Old Eldon Square.
Metrocentre Qube
Also for Capital Shopping Centres, we secured planning permission for the North East’s first IMAX cinema alongside a Namco entertainment centre, family restaurants and children’s play area.
The IMAX is one of Odeon’s most visited cinemas in the country and together with the other leisure facilities at the Qube, complements the Metrocentre’s offer.
NLP is also providing both strategic and development-specific advice to CSC at it's other assets nationally, including Lakeside in Essex and the Victoria Centre in Nottingham.
