NLP secured outline planning permission for the development of the central Warrington former distillery site for 270 dwellings and elderly accommodation, following local consultation on revised plans.
NLP developed the planning strategy for the redevelopment of the former home of Bombay Sapphire Gin. We introduced other landholdings in De Vere’s ownership in the area to develop a comprehensive mixed use approach to site disposal and included secure elderly accommodation within the distillery scheme. The imaginative conversion of listed brewery property also formed part of the proposal.
Public consultation targeted primarily at immediate local neighbours to the site and discussions with local ward members resulted in substantial local support, which convinced the Planning Committee to support the planning application.
