On behalf of the London Borough of Merton, NLP has undertaken Employment Land and Retail & Leisure Capacity Assessments, working in line with Planning Policy Statement 4 (PPS4).
These assessments will form part of the evidence base for the Council’s Local Development Framework.
Retail and Leisure Assessment
NLP assessed existing retail and leisure provision in the borough and advised on the requirement for further provision to meet population growth, and reviewed the role of different centres.
Employment Land Assessment
In accordance with PPS4, NLP's assessment considered the land requirements across all key sectors of the economy, including B1, B2, and B8 as well as other 'non-B-class' uses such as leisure, healthcare, waste management and retail.
