NLP undertook a series of daylight and sunlight analyses for the introduction of a three storey paediatric extension to the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on Netherton Grove, Fulham.
We provided advice regarding the layout and envelope of the proposed extension during the scheme’s iterative design process. The assessment considered the effects of the development on neighbouring residential properties and nurses accommodation. The natural light levels were quantified in terms of Vertical Sky Component, Average Daylight Factor, Daylight Distribution and Annual and Winter Sunlight Availability.
