New Square, West Bromwich

NLP has obtained a hybrid planning permission for Spenhill's regeneration proposals for a 15ha site within West Bromwich Town Centre.

The proposed 53,000 sq m retail led development includes a Tesco Extra Store, retail units, hotel, restaurant and leisure uses. Having determined the planning strategy, our role included preparing the retail and regeneration assessments and co-ordinating the Environmental Impact Assessment and Design and Access Statement.

To provide continuity between the documents, NLP's Graphic Design team prepared the design concept for the application documents and desk top published the Design and Access Statement and Non-Technical Summary.

Furthermore, NLP prepared a sustainability matrix to assess the sustainability credentials of the scheme, in accordance with the West Midlands Sustainability Checklist and BREEAM Communities Assessment tool.

NLP also advises on other Spenhill town centre regeneration schemes in Woolwich and Kirkby.
